Voice enrollment
Reference recordings for a voice clone. Each take is measured the moment you stop, so a bad one costs fifteen seconds instead of the session.

Enrollment writes to the host, so it needs an Alpha Network identity.

No working microphone? Record this prompt in any app — your phone's Voice Memos, Windows Voice Recorder, or Audacity — and press Upload a file. It goes through the exact same quality check as a live recording, so it works on any device.
How to get a usable recording
- Read it the way you'd say it. The clone copies your delivery, not just your voice, and every line here is written to be spoken rather than recited. If a phrase doesn't sound like you, change it as you go — the take is checked against the text and a small difference is reported, not refused.
- Quiet room with soft furnishings, not the workshop. The gate measures signal-to-noise and will refuse a take recorded next to a compressor.
- 15–20 cm from the mic, slightly off-axis so plosives don't hit it straight on.
- A phone in Voice Memos on Lossless beats most laptop mics. If you'd rather use one, record there and we'll ingest the files instead — this page is the convenient path, not the only one.
Recordings are stored on the host outside every repository, are never indexed, and are classed Tier-3 (personal) by the estate's own integrity policy. Only measurements and hashes are committed to git.
